Written February 6th, 2008
Now that you've stumbled onto the RP forum, you may be wondering what the storyline...what the current PLOT is. Well, we don't exactly HAVE one yet. Soooo, I would like to ask that if any of you guys have any ideas or thoughts for a plot, PM ME. I am open to ideas and opinions, and I would love it if someone sent me a good plot that we could all stick with, so just so you know, I love getting PM'ed, as long as it isn't just saying 'hi' all the time though.
Oops, before I get side-tracked, I will be reviewing any storylines via pm people send to me, so if you have ANY ideas at all, pm me or post in a new RP discussion thread. If I like your idea enough, I just might post it up for RPing!
Don't be shy. I don't bite...or at least, not too hard.

These spells are not explicitly stated to be in one category or the other.
White Crawl (hakufuku)-- Momo Hinamori uses this spell while imprisoned to knock out a guard and destroy everything within a certain radius of herself. The anime suggests that it is a binding spell, but doesn't number it.
Mirror Door (kyômon)-- It creates a glass-like barrier which is difficult to break from the outside, but quite simple to break from the inside
Reverse Demon (hanki)-- This technique nullifies an opponent's kidô by hitting them with a perfectly opposite surge of energy.

Zanpakuto « Result #6 on Feb 4, 2008, 10:29pm »
Zanpakuto
What is a zanpakuto, you ask? It is the primary weapon used by shinigami (death god). It has typically has 3 forms; sealed form, shikai (initial release), and bankai (final release). They usually appear to be katana (or something similar to them) swords, or at least in sealed form. Each zanpakuto has its own unique (or maybe similar) ability in shikai and bankai forms, that usually fit the user's personality.
What makes a zanpakuto different from a normal sword is that it bears a spirit inside of it. This spirit has its own mind, and bonding with this spirit after knowing how to contact it creates a better relationship between the two, which is required if you want to get anywhere with obtaining the stronger forms of zanpakuto. These spirits also make it possible for the zanpakuto to perform soul burials (that sends wandering spirits to SS) and to purify hollow spirits (sends them to SS as well, if they had died beforehand)
A Zanpakuto is the physical manifestation of the shinigami's soul and cannot be replaced. Because they are alive, a zanpakuto will regenerate if broken, though there is a limit to such regeneration (a vaporized zanpakutô would not regenerate, for example).
Shikai & Bankai
The shikai form, also known as the initial release, is the first upgraded form available to zanpakuto. In order for it to be activated, one must know the name of their zanpakuto. This is not as simple as simply picking a name, as the living spirit of the zanpakuto chooses its own name. Therefore, the shinigami must be able to communicate with their zanpakuto effectively, which requires being able to speak to the spirit within its world. Achieving shikai is a mark of control for a zanpakuto and its user. Most seated shinigami, and possbily a small amount of unseated shinigami, are able to perform shikai effectively.
After shikai is achieved, it can be performed at will by speaking a certain command which is followed by the zanpakuto's name. The phrase varies from person to person, often relating to the ability it gives or the personality of the spirit residing inside of it. This step may be bypassed by expert shinigami, particularly those who have mastered bankai. Some rare cases of zanpakuto are full-timed release types, in other words zanpakuto that remain in shikai form constantly.
Once the shikai is activated, the zanpakuto will change form to access whatever special abilities it is capable of. They usually remain in the form of a sword, but the type of sword differs radically among various zanpakuto. The special abilities of the zanpakutô, like the zanpakuto itself, have specific names that usually must be announced to fully activate the effect. Knowing the name of an attack and not knowing it makes a difference in the amount of power that attack has.
Bankai form, also known as the final release, is the second and last upgrade available for zanpakuto. It is rare for one to obtain, requiring hundreds of years of combat experience. It is a trait almost exclusively limited to the taichou. Even if one were to obtain bankai, it takes 10 additional years of training to master completely. This release form for zanpakuto usually makes the user 5 to 10 times stronger, thus creating a power gap between those with only shikai. There are no command phrases to activate bankai, besides saying 'bankai' literally beforehand. A bankai is often the manifestation of the zanpakuto spirit itself, usually creating a massive creature. Though some bankai give different forms of power, such as extremely increased agilty to actual partial combination between the user and their zanpakuto spirit. Certain shinigami also change with their zanpakutô, gaining different clothing to fit with the form. Most zanpakutô will also gain additional special abilities. Like with the shikai, most of these abilities have an associated name. Maintaining the bankai is taxing for the wielder, and it is difficult to maintain it for long periods of time.
Types
There are many different types of zanpakuto, all having their own special ability. So, to help make lives easier, they are classified by their main purpose or effect of their special abilities. Zanpakuto that are designed specifically for close-combat are most likely melee-type zanpakuto. Then there is also the kidou-type zanpakuto, being designed around its special ability rather than its close-combat potential. Then there is also the elemental zanpakuto, such as ice-type and fire-type zanpakuto.

Tesshiori Keikage: Soutaichou « Result #7 on Feb 3, 2008, 10:58am »
General Information
Name Tesshiori Keikage Tesshiori: "iron branch weave" Keikage: "stalk shadow" Birthdate February 29th Age Real Age: 672 Appearance-Wise: Mid Twenties Height 5'11'' Weight 112 lbs Gender Female
Division 1st Division: Command Seat 1st, Taichou Seat, Commander General of Gotei 13
Appearance Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Light Brown Build: Relatively Average
Keikage is a relatively tall woman, tipping over the height of an average female by reaching to roughly 5'11''. She bears little to no visible scars anywhere on her body. Her eyes are a shade of blue. The skin color she bears appears to be a medium between pale and tan, free from blemishes of any kind. Onto the hair in general, it is a grey-tinted dark brown shade. It is almost always held up in a high ponytail, reaching to her waist. Her hair also encloses the sides of her face, having bangs slightly her forehead and even thicker shoulder-length strands on the sides of her face, hiding her ears from frontal view.
Keikage wears the following clothing articles under her shinigami garb. The very bottom layer is made from bandages that primarily covers from her waist to her upper body, despite not claiming to have any injuries. This isn't the only piece of clothing she wears, however. Keikage also wears 2 skin-tight quantlets, colored mahogany and covering from the back of the hand and ending just below the shoulders. What slightly covers over these mahogany guantlets are bandages, exactly the same as the bandage worn over her torso, but in a lesser amount. Located on her left hand, covering the bandage that covers part of the guantlet, is another stronger while guantlet that is only from the knuckles to her elbow.
Onto the actual shinigami uniform, the thin white kosode is left open and loose, revealing part of the bandage on her torso. However, her black kimono is more secure. It is all closed up, until the bottom of her chest where a 'V' shape forms and remains open. Keikage wears a white rose locket, though it contains nothing. Over her black kimono and hakama, is a sleeveless taichou's jacket, bearing the symbol for 1st division. She wears an average pair of tobi with traditional geta, unlike most other shinigami.
Personality
Self-Contained~~ Generally, Keikage is quite calm. She barely speaks sometimes, preferring to keep to herself and be alone, despite not having many people to hang out with. It can be increasingly hard at times to make her angry, or at least, to show that she was. She doesn't get aggervated with people when they do something to her, but rather if they harm a loved one or maybe even just a minor friend. She doesn't tend to show anything more through anger besides a slight groan and a simple furrow of her eyebrows. She'll sit back and take it if you were to kick her, but eventually she'll snap and become your worst nightmare.
Lawful, Serious~~ Keikage may seem nice and playful one minute, but it can easily change by the next. When this happens, she doesn't hesitate to give orders and rarely, she may take care of the situation herself. She has a strong belief in the laws of SS, and does not often bend these beliefs, though she would pull some strings to keep a dear friend from a death execution. If one is to crack even a small bit of difiance when she's in this mood, they are likely to be punished. She never repeats herself more than twice, and does not particularly respect being questioned by her authority.
Dependable~~The commander-general of the Gotei 13 is a woman of her word. Keikage holds much faith in friends and loved ones, holding pride for them. She would never lie, believing that doing so is a sin and therefore does not commit to it. She wouldn't break a promise unless there was truly no way out at all to break it. Another thing Keikage is dependable upon is that she would take over work for a close friend as one example, another being that you could leave her all your work to be finished for an entire division, and return later to see it finished. Anyone could rely on her for advice.
Honorable~~ Keikage is truly what would be an honorable person. She wouldn't back down from a fight if she were brought into one, as she isn't a coward. She wouldn't betray those of Soul Society, neither would she betray an ally. Being a well-respected shinigami, Kei knows that she must act accordingly to reflect on her rank hence the reason she takes pride in battle, no fear.
Social, Playful At Times~~ Keikage can be shown to be social at times, not being entirely shy. She enjoys a nice conversation, even of the most random topics. This shinigami enjoys to have a good laugh now and then, enjoying time spent with friends. Kei would even go so far as to have people report somwhere so that she could hang around with them. This isn't often the side shown by Keikage, though it makes its appearances whenever the opportunity arrises.
Character History/Background Childhood Keikage was born during the Heian era, during the year 1165. It was generally somewhat peaceful, though the village she was part of was very much contradictive to this, sparking wars with neighboring villages for years. Even back then, Kei was a quiet, calm girl. Still, she kept to being free-spirited, trying to have as much fun in an atmosphere around her that lacked so much as that. Generally, there was something that seperated her from the crowd. Keikage had the ability to see spirits for as long as she could remember. She couldn't tell the difference either, so she would often found herself cheerfully dancing around graves. These acts casted her away from the village, to be shunned for being what the others would call 'disrespectful', when she didn't know any better. This attribute came from her father, so he was the only one who really understood her.
When Keikage turned about 6 years old, she was abandoned by her own mother. Her mother didn't approve of her or pretty much any of the village. She hated the poor conditions, and how strange that she could have such an 'ignorant' child. Of course, her mother was somewhat a bad person. In some ways, she could only like her child...nobody else. However, those ways were scarce to come around. She hated the village, Keikage's father, everything it seemed. She was sick of it, positively sick of it. She never did treat her daughter well, but just enough to make her think so. And so Keikage's mother took her leave from the village, to fulfill a more 'worthy' life.
One day, Keikage found herself walking into the hut occupied by her father, her, and her mother. How? Why? Sure, Keikage may have been a strange child, but she definitely was not a dumb one. Her mother had a small bag of things tied into cloth. The young child stared at the bag, and then glanced an innocent and upset face to her mother. She knew exactly what was going on. Her mother bent down to her and gave her a hug and a kiss on a forehead, walked off afterwards. Keikage didn't move during any of this. She didn't hug her back, kiss her back, nothing. Nothing...like the amount of words her mother said to her before walking out of her life. She watched her mother walk off, without fear or sorrow. Only anger...and curiosity. Why hadn't her mother wanted her?
Her Death Keikage died at a young age of about roughly 16 years old. She died during the attack of a hollow, along with her father. Somehow, her mother had become a hollow, and attacked them both. Her father risked his life and died to save his daughter, though in the end the effort was lost...pointless. Needless to say, it wouldn't have mattered whether he protected her or not.
In the end, she had died, but someone had come to perform soul burial, sending them both to Soul Society. This day that someone had come to a late rescue, late but a rescue nethertheless. How would it consider to be a rescue? To be freed from heian era life and sent to SS, that was a savior for her enough. The hollow that was her mother had ran off...possbily had been purified, perhaps not. This bit didn't matter anymore, because her new life would begin.
Early Rukongai Life to Now After departing from the mortal realm, Keikage had entered SS on February 29th, not an exactly normal date. This became known as her birthdate. She was sent with her father to northern rukongai, of the 2nd district. She had earned her reiatsu not too long afterward, having had retained some spiritual power from her past life.
When she turned 15, after having her own self-training on manipulation of reiatsu, Keikage had learned that it was time to depart from Rukongai and leave off to Shinigami Academy. There, she took advanced classes in nearly everything. She took an entire 6 years in the academy, however being a prodigy. She done so to increase her training by at least a little bit more. An indeed sharp-minded person was Keikage, she had no problem getting accepted into Gotei 13.
Keikage was then taken in by the 12th division. She became an 18th seat for a short amount of time of only 50 years, proving quickly that she was worthy of the 3rd seat rank. She kept this rank for a good, clean 254 years. During these years, she began bankai training. Eventually, she had earned her bankai from her zanpakuto. This would soon fulfill her dream to rise to the top. After another 10 years, she successfully gained a gracious amount of experience with using the bankai form. Now she was roughly 351 years old. Indeed young, but she was placed as the fukutaichou of the 1st division. These years only lasted 25 years, and so at the end of those 25 years, her immediate superior passed away. After put through much thought, Keikage was then decided to be the best suited for the commander-general rank over the Gotei 13. So then, at age 376, Keikage was at last the leader of the Gotei 13, and came to be one of the most respected shinigami in all of Soul Society.
Another 296 years passed. A huge war took place, and Keikage-soutaichou was one of the last high-ranking shinigami standing after the war. And so, she began to see forth that she'd get more taichou and fukutaichou up into the divisions, and would soon begin to announce those out of the most elite of the shinigami from the academy to train and place into Gotei 13. Soon it would branch out...soon.
---------------------------------------------- Zanpakuto Info Zanpakuto's Name Enbara no Akaimu (Flaming Rose of Red Fog) Shikai Release Phrase "Moero, boku kirei ka. Tomasu erinuki kunitsukami korede tensei." (Burn, my pretty flower. Enrich the very best earthly deities with heavenly life.)
Zanpakuto Spirit Enbara no Akaimu is the spirit of Keikaige's zanpakutô. This red-skinned humanoid butterfly has arms and legs made of thick stems of a rose. Her hands and feet are thinner. Enbara wears a ceremonial golden kimono, closed with a tied stem around her chest. Her wings emanate trace amounts of flame. Enbara's personality is quite wise and honorable. She always has something to acknowledge about people, including opponents of Keikage. Her tolerance of even the most backstabbing creatures causes Keikage to give deep respect to her zanpakutô. Enbara no Akaimu's home is a large, overgrown meadow toppled with few oak tress and a seemingly quiet waterfall. Mist fills the land along with the aroma of plants and nectar.
Shikai Description Enbara no Akaimu is one of the few zanpakutou with more than one ability. Anyhow, the things that change from the sealed form to the shikai form are as follows. The zanpakuto itself stays basically the same length as before, a nodachi-size weapon. The hilt stays the same, but everything else changes. The tsuba transforms into a real red rose with 8 petals. The blade transforms into 4 thorny stems of the rose, or what is morely referred to as vines. These vines stay just as sharp as the sealed form itself. It also grows half inch thorns of the outer parts of the stem of the zanpakuto.
The ability gained when Keikage releases shikai form is to be able to strangle or even slice the certain organs of the opponent at a time. Keikage, however, her zanpakuto cannot attack the heart, brane, or bones. The vines are able to extend 3 ft longer than they already are. This unique ability uses Keikage's reiatsu to manipulate the vines of the zanpakuto 'stem', and use them to attack the target. This isn't any ordinary type of attack. It can actually attack a target internally, able to strange and even slice apart muscles, however it cannot affect the heart, brain, or bones. It is only able to inflict damage internally by having her arm motionless for at least 7 seconds before executing the ability. If she moves it during that time, her attack will end up attacking on the target's outside of the body. Either way, it sill causes pain, but attacking internally is the part that uses more reiatsu.
Before any part of the body of a target can be harmed internally, Keikage must first strike the spot she plans to inflict by hitting it in some way with one of her hands. This signals to her zanpakuto to attack in the designated spot(s). If Keikage ignores keeping still AND using the strike first, then the zanpakuto will not attack internally. Successfully, the stem splits would into four vines and extend over to the opponent, and detects an open wound or a spot struck my Kei anywhere on the body. An attack from the inside fails to appear visible, unless she were to use a strike powerful enough that it broke through the target's flesh.
Bankai Enbara no Akaimu is a zanpakuto with a bankai that can take several forms during the time it is used in battle. Each phase of this bankai has its own nickname, fitting its appearance in some ways. This bankai makes Keikage 5 times stronger.
Form: Kourin Ajito no Akaimu Translation: Advent Hideout of Red Fog This is the very first form for Enbara no Akaimu's bankai. It is dropped to the ground blade-first after she says 'bankai', and in return her zanpakuto's vines shoot into the ground, while the hilt of the blade remains to be almost as high as Kei's chest. Around a 18 ft radius, huge 30 ft walls form and close in all those within the 18 ft radius. The rose petals that had once formed as the tsuba during shikai diffuse into red mist or fog while the flower's thorny stem spreads its roots around the radius. During this time, Keikage's hands become free of her zanpakuto, though she remains in complete control of it. All plants such as trees also go under her control, just like with the vines of her shikai, so they share that ability with her zanpakuto while in the presence of bankai. The red-colored fog/mist has the purpose of making it harder for the opponent to see others and sense reiatsu. at Kekage's will, the vines and surrounding plants of the area can actually strike out at the opponent like in shikai, though she can do it while moving around, as she controls them with her mind, though making hand motions makes everything quicker for more effect those with the high agility. Everything becomes as sharp as a blade during this time, so even a branch can cut the opponent if it gets to them. Keikage can also set out to attack the opponent, and if she hits them somewhere, (excluding the heart and brain) she can allow for use of a stronger version of her shikai ability using what's around her. If the zanpakuto is unearthed during battle, or if Keikage is inflicted with enough wounds, she can either move onto an alternative bankai, or down grade her zanpakuto back to shikai or sealed form.
Form: Erinuki Reiki no Akaimu Translation: Elite Aura of Red Fog This is the second resort of bankai form. After the walls of the first stage diminish after the first form is defeated, or for some other reason, The red fog/mist encloses around Keikage and her zanpakuto. Her speed and strength takes an increase with it surrounding her, by nearly twice as much than bankai form before. This includes her zanpakuto. In this form, Keikage actually grows butterfly wings that resemble her zanpakuto spirit's. These wings grant her the obvious advantage of being able to fly. Attacks that happen to get her are decreased to inflict with only half of its own strength. This form doesn't have its own ability, its morely just to use the remaining red fog/mist to strengthen defences and some offenses.
Final Form: Shinto Akaimu Choucho Translation: Deadly Silent Red Fog Butterfly This is the final bankai form of Keikage's zanpakuto, and after it is released and done over with, her bankai comes to an end. However, this form can actually be called out first, instead of using the first two. In this case, this stage of bankai lasts longer. This is actually a form of materialization of her zanpakuto spirit, hence it being a bankai and not shikai. This butterfly doesn't make any sounds whatsoever, as the name speaks for itself. It is a very large butterfly (about the size of the first stage of bankai; 18 ft wide), and can be used for transportation or attack. This is a poisonous butterfly nethertheless, so it can attack with potent poisonous gas that can harm opponents, and if it gets inhaled, it is immediatly in the body. From there, her opponents are pretty much screwed, and now bear a very slight chance of living, if they don't have the antidote, which is in possession of Keikage, and soon to be her fukutaichou. Other than that, there is no other bankai stage or ability. After this form needs not be of use for Keikage until another time, it fuses back into a regular nodachi blade and her zanpakuto goes back to sealed form.
Sealed Zanpakuto Description In sealed form, Keikage's zanpakuto is generally much longer to fit her height, so she carries around a slightly curved-blade nodachi. The tsuba retains the designs and color of a red rose. It is carried over her right shoulder when sheathed, with a red obi sash. Her zanpakuto carries around the scent of roses constantly, especially the tsuba. The sheath is a dark crimson color, and has a golden silk bow tied to it.
Most Experienced Combat Abilities Kidou, Zanjutsu
Fighting Style Keikage has a relatively calm fighting style. Using her smarts and knowledge passed on from her years in the 12th division do pay off for her in battle, as she strategizes and makes observations while in battle. During battle, she prefers to make use of swift movements using her shunpo skills. She likes to talk in battle sometimes, and even might taunt the opponent to make them fight tougher, what she would call 'pep talk'. Pretty much to sum it up, she isn't afraid to combine skills in order to battle successfully. Some of her moves consist of shunpo, kidou, or spinning some point onward. She fights true to her own style.
